Full title: TransInnovate: Bridging Disciplines for Innovation
Duration: Oktober 2025-September 2027
Total funding received: 250,000€
Share of funding for the HVC Community: 51.171€
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
TransInnovate: Bridging Disciplines for Innovation is a project implemented within the Erasmus+ programme (KA220-VET), addressing the need for innovation in higher vocational and tertiary education. The aim of the project is to promote transdisciplinary education that integrates technology, arts, humanities, and social sciences into learning processes.
The project introduces innovative pedagogical approaches, artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and a micro-credentials system that will enable learners and educators to develop transversal competencies and respond more effectively to contemporary societal and technological challenges. One of the key outcomes will also be a One Stop Shop platform designed for resource sharing, networking, and long-term support for transdisciplinary learning.
MAIN OBJECTIVES:
- To develop a research report on the challenges and good practices of transdisciplinary education in Europe.
- To create a methodological framework and guidelines for the design and implementation of transdisciplinary learning experiences.
- To design and pilot a training programme for practitioners (teachers, mentors, and institutional leadership) to apply these approaches.
- To introduce a micro-credential standard for the validation of transdisciplinary competencies.
- To establish a sustainable digital ecosystem (One Stop Shop platform) providing open access to materials, tools, and a community of practice.
EXPECTED RESULTS:
- A comprehensive report on the state of transdisciplinary education in Europe.
- A methodological handbook and an educational module.
- An online platform featuring AI-supported tools.
- A micro-credentials standard for the recognition of transdisciplinary skills.
- A network of trained educators and institutions integrating innovative approaches into practice.
ACTIVITIES:
The TransInnovate project will be implemented through five interrelated work packages.
The first work package (WP1) will focus on effective project management, quality assurance, regular communication among partners, as well as financial and administrative monitoring.
The second work package (WP2) will involve extensive research and needs analysis, through which partners will examine existing practices in transdisciplinary education and identify key challenges and needs of learners and educators.
Within the third work package (WP3), a training programme for lecturers and mentors will be developed and implemented. This will include the development of learning modules, tools, and methodological guidelines, with a particular emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence to support the learning process.
The fourth work package (WP4) will be dedicated to piloting the developed content in different partner countries, collecting feedback, and improving educational tools and methodologies based on practical insights.
The fifth work package (WP5) will focus on dissemination and sustainability. Partners will ensure wide promotion of project results, develop an open-access digital “One Stop Shop” platform, organise an international final conference, and design a long-term strategy for maintaining and further developing the achieved results.
