 ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The V2V IDEA project (VET to VET – Inclusion, Skills Development & Empowerment for All) is an international development project in the field of vocational and professional education, focusing on strengthening institutional capacities and improving the quality of education systems, particularly in the Western Balkans region.

The main objective of the project is to establish a tailored, effective, and sustainable model of cooperation between educational institutions and to support the development of learners’ competencies in alignment with labor market needs. Special emphasis is placed on the inclusion of vulnerable groups, comprehensive skills development, and empowering individuals to actively participate in society and employment processes.

The project contributes to the modernization of vocational education and training (VET) and to strengthening the links between education, the economy, and the wider social environment.

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

  1. Strengthen the institutional capacities of participating organizations in the field of vocational education.
  2. Promote inclusive educational approaches and sustainable development.
  3. Develop learners’ key and vocational competences in line with labor market needs.
  4. Empower individuals for active participation in society and employment.
  5. Enhance international cooperation and the transfer of good practices among partner institutions.

(The objectives are based on the three key pillars of the project: inclusion, skills development, and empowerment.)

EXPECTED RESULTS:

  • Improved models of cooperation among VET institutions.
  • Developed innovative approaches for inclusive education.
  • Strengthened competences of teachers, mentors, and learners.
  • Greater alignment of education with labor market needs.
  • A sustainable network of partners for the continued development of the VET sector.

ACTIVITIES:

The project is implemented through several interconnected activities, which include:

  • Developing methodologies and approaches for inclusive education,
  • Exchanging good practices among partners,
  • Training for teachers, mentors, and professional staff,
  • Pilot implementation of educational activities,
  • Organizing international meetings and events,
  • Disseminating results and ensuring the sustainability of the project.

PARTNERSHIP:

The project brings together organizations from several European countries and the Western Balkans, including:

  • Apro Formazione (Italy – coordinator),
  • SIC Ljubljana (Slovenia),
  • Organizations from Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, and the Netherlands,
  • Association of Slovene Higher Vocational Colleges – external evaluator.

SIGNIFICANCE FOR HIGHER VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

The V2V IDEA project makes an important contribution to the development of higher vocational and tertiary education by:

  • Strengthening the connection between institutions and the economy,
  • Promoting the development of competences relevant to the modern labor market,
  • Introducing inclusive and innovative pedagogical approaches,
  • Supporting internationalization and knowledge transfer.
