ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Accessibility Statement

This Accessibility Statement applies to the website of the Association of Higher Vocational Colleges of the Republic of Slovenia, https://www.skupnost-vss.si/, which is managed by the Association of Higher Vocational Colleges of the Republic of Slovenia.

The website follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at conformance level AA.

Description of Accessible Content

The website:

  • allows users to view content using contrast settings that comply with the WCAG AA standard;
  • provides a sitemap accessible from the main navigation;
  • allows users to skip directly to the main content;
  • has a clear and consistent structure and navigation;
  • can be operated using a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator on the selected link;
  • allows alternative text to be provided for all images;
  • provides clearly identifiable links;
  • is, with minor exceptions, optimised for screen readers.

Inaccessible Content

We regularly monitor the accessibility of the website of the Association of Higher Vocational Colleges of the Republic of Slovenia (https://www.skupnost-vss.si/) and continuously work to improve individual accessibility features.

Nevertheless, some published content does not fully meet all accessibility requirements stipulated by the Slovenian Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.

Some documents published on the website of the Association of Higher Vocational Colleges of the Republic of Slovenia (https://www.skupnost-vss.si/) may not be fully accessible to users with different types of disabilities. This applies particularly to documents intended for professional or specific target audiences or to content whose adaptation, due to its complexity, would impose a disproportionate burden.

Consequently, certain content on individual subpages may still be only partially accessible. Nevertheless, the Association of Higher Vocational Colleges of the Republic of Slovenia makes every effort to ensure that its content is as accessible as possible to all users, including members of vulnerable groups.

Examples of such content include:

  • scanned documents in PDF format;
  • certain other text documents;
  • promotional materials presented as images containing text, such as infographics;
  • certain video and audio recordings;
  • certain photographs, videos and graphic representations that do not yet include descriptions or alternative text;
  • certain modules or components on individual subpages;
  • various complex data tables.

The reason for the presence of inaccessible content is the disproportionate burden that making such content fully accessible would entail, particularly in terms of the human and financial resources required.

For inaccessible content, we endeavour to provide alternative means of access or an accessible solution wherever possible.
