BUILDING NEW PARTNERSHIPS

Every year, the Association of Slovene Higher Vocational Colleges organises an Erasmus+ mobility programme for principals and directors of Slovenian higher vocational colleges. The programme is designed to connect institutions across Europe, exchange good practices, explore different approaches to vocational and professional education, and create opportunities for new project partnerships and long-term cooperation.

As the Association brings together higher vocational colleges offering a wide range of study programmes, these visits are also an important opportunity to connect Slovenian colleges with institutions offering comparable programmes at EQF Level 5 and to identify concrete possibilities for cooperation.

In 2026, the mobility took us to Hungary. During the three-day visit, the delegation visited Kodolányi János University and the National Office of Vocational Education and Training and Adult Learning (NOVETAL), met with representatives of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and was welcomed at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary.

The programme provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on dual education, cooperation with industry and the development of vocational and professional education, while also establishing new contacts for future cooperation.

International partnerships give higher vocational colleges the opportunity to exchange good practices, learn from different education systems and strengthen their links with industry. By building strong international networks, we create new opportunities for students, staff and institutions – and open the door to future cooperation across Europe.
