CAREER GUIDANCE COUNSELLOR TRAINING

Career counsellors play an important role in supporting students in planning their educational and professional pathways, which is why their continuous professional development is essential. Training is aimed at enhancing knowledge, exploring contemporary approaches and tools in career counselling, and exchanging good practices among counsellors. At the same time, it provides an opportunity to discuss the development of career counselling in Higher Vocational Education and to strengthen cooperation among different stakeholders who jointly contribute to providing high-quality support for students in their career development.

This year’s training for career counsellors took place on 9 April 2026 at the Higher Vocational College of Cosmetics and Wellness Ljubljana under the title Tools and Practices of Career Counselling in Higher Vocational Education. The programme focused on the development of career counselling in Higher Vocational Education, the operation of career centres, the use of LinkedIn as a career development tool, and examples of good practice in individual career counselling for students. The event provided participants with an opportunity to acquire new knowledge, exchange experiences, and discuss the further development of career guidance in Higher Vocational Education.
